Emerging Leaders Program

About the Program

NE/SAE's Emerging Leaders Program is designed to provide both young and new association professionals with development and networking opportunities to advance their association careers and to have a positive impact on the associations they serve. 


The 2020-2021 Emerging Leaders Program will consist of five educational sessions from Fall 2020 through Summer 2021 as well as networking opportunities.

 

Emerging Leaders also attend NE/SAE's three major conferences, our Digital Solutions Conference in October, Conference for Association Education in January, and our Annual Meeting in June. 

 

Emerging Leaders will be highlighted as rising professionals in the local association community throughout the year and will be recognized for completing the program at our 2021 Annual Meeting.

 


Candidate Eligibility 

Candidates for this program must be: 
  • A young professional (under the age of 35) OR a new association professional (less than 5 years of association experience)
  • Actively employed by an association, society, or association management company
  • This program is designed for association staff and is not open to those serving in a Chief Executive role such as Executive Director or CEO
  • Able to commit to all sessions, several of which will be scheduled around participant availability, as well as attend our three major conferences in October, January, and June 
 

Program Fees

Members: $500 | Non-Members: $650*

*includes a one-year NE/SAE membership

 

The program fee includes:

  • Five educational sessions (virtual) 
  • 2020 Digital Solutions Conference registration (virtual) 
  • 2021 Conference for Association Education registration (virtual) 
  • 2021 Annual Meeting registration (in-person**)
  • Networking opportunities 

 

**scholarships are available to help cover travel and overnight accommodation costs

Nominate an Emerging Leader

Emerging Leaders candidates should be nominated by a sponsor, ideally a supervisor or staff leader from their association. Nominations for the 2020-2021 program will be accepted until Friday, September 25, 2020 at 5:00 PM.
