From ASAE:

On May 15, the U.S. House of Representatives passed the Health and Economic Recovery Omnibus Emergency Solutions (HEROES) Act, which would expand the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) to all associations and nonprofits. We need your help to make progress in the Senate. To weigh in with your senator, follow the form, and add details from your own association. The more your personalize the message and tell your story, the more effective our efforts will be.

We also need your help to share stories about how your association has been impacted by COVID-19. We know associations are facing dire economic consequences due to event cancellations, sharp membership declines and major revenue loss while also doing incredible work now to assist communities in fighting COVID-19. From training emergency responders to organizing blood donations to providing critical support to medical professionals, we know associations are moving America forward. We need Congress to know as well.

Please edit the text to list the name of your association in the first line. Add in any other details about your association and the communities you serve - this will personalize the message and increase its impact.

Message to the Senate:

My association writes to urge you to include trade, professional, and membership associations in the Paycheck Protection Program. Associations are suffering major financial harm due to the unprecedented coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak due to event cancellations, sharp membership declines and major revenue loss. At the same time, in every state across the country, associations are on the forefront of helping America and the world fight and respond to COVID-19.

Without swift action, harm will be irreparable, and many associations will shutter permanently and be unable to provide essential services to the community during this time.

Thank you for your consideration.
