We pride ourselves on being a trusted partner with our members and the greater association community. As we monitor guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) and the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, we invite you to do the same.

NE/SAE's Spring Social, originally scheduled for April 29th, has been cancelled. We look forward to re-scheduling a similar event sometime in the future.
NE/SAE 2020: Our Annual Meeting is currently planned to take place as scheduled. We have an excellent lineup of speakers, a nearly sold-out exhibit hall, and a beautiful venue. We hope to see you there!

Government Resources

CARES Act & Related Resources

From ASAE: On March 25, the U.S. Senate passed the CARES Act, a $2.2 trillion coronavirus relief package to provide Americans emergency aid and help combat the pandemic. Two provisions in the CARES Act apply to 501(c)(6) associations: an employee retention payroll tax credit available to businesses that have seen at least 50 percent reduction in revenue in the first quarter of 2020 compared to the first quarter of 2019, among other qualifying conditions; and emergency Economic Injury Disaster Loan grants that can be used for payroll costs, rent or mortgage payments, or repaying obligations that cannot be met because of revenue losses. There are other provisions that are helpful to 501(c)(3) groups. Read more on ASAE’s coronavirus advocacy and resources webpage.

Other Resources

Things to Think About

  • Providing relevant and up-to-date information to your members and event attendees
  • Supporting prevention in public gatherings
  • Changing the culture of greetings and interactions (i.e. “elbow bumps” instead of hugs or handshakes)
  • Educating members and event attendees on good hygiene practices (i.e. Reminder at general sessions along with plenty of signage to reinforce the message)
  • Providing hand sanitizer throughout events and at the office
  • Educating staff on how to handle potential situations (i.e. an attendee showing symptoms)
  • Evaluating event cancellation insurance (new policies or changes to current policies) and meetings policies
  • Reviewing facility policies and preparation when working with hotels/convention centers/other venues
  • Redesigning sick leave and work-from-home policies for staff
