Program Description 

In this webinar we will provide a general overview of the Massachusetts Paid Family Medical Leave program, including the types and extent of time off, how benefits are funded and paid, notice requirements, implementation timelines and the latest in guidance about how to plan for these changes and be sure that your organization is in compliance.  Information regarding notice forms and posting requirements will be shared as well as initial guidance about updating your leave policies and considering your disability benefits currently in place. This webinar is hosted by the New England Society of Association Executives and presented by Insource Services and Beacon Law Group.

 

Pre-registration is required. This webinar is free to NE/SAE members and $45 for non-members.

Speakers

 

Saleha Walsh, Vice President, Insource Services

Saleha co-leads the delivery of Insource’s professional services to our clients.  She is jointly responsible for the overall management of client engagements and providing leadership to and strategic direction for Insource’s consulting services. Saleha is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience in general operational and human resource management.  She brings her expertise in direct communication and skills in contextual decision-making to managing Insource’s operations and addressing our clients’ needs. She serves as a Principal Consultant and advises clients on employment challenges, HR infrastructure, conducts investigations and oversees organizational HR assessments

 

 

 

 

 

 

Elizabeth Adler, Partner, Beacon Law Group, LLC 

Elizabeth M. Adler practices in the areas of employment law and general business law. She has represented large organizations, small and entrepreneurial enterprises, nonprofits, individuals and government agencies in a wide range of matters, including business disputes, wrongful termination and discrimination claims, general counseling and the drafting and negotiation of contracts. Liz has closed numerous multi-million dollar business transactions in a variety of industries. Liz offers seminars designed to educate and update managerial and supervisory personnel on various facets of employment law, and she advises clients on other proactive methods of conflict avoidance. Liz also conducts investigations into allegations of workplace misconduct, serving as an independent fact finder.
 
Liz received a degree from the University of Connecticut School of Law (J.D., cum laude 1990) and from Lehigh University (B.S., Accounting, 1987). Liz co-founded Beacon Law Group following nearly twenty-five years in private practice in Boston, most recently with Looney & Grossman LLP, where she was a partner for approximately seventeen years. Liz is a Board member of a for-profit organization which operates within the Boston tourism industry, and she has been a volunteer with the Charles River Watershed Association for more than twenty years.
