Claire Rosenzweig, CAE, CPMP Claire Rosenzweig, CAE, CPMP
President, COO
Promotion Marketing Association, Inc.

Claire Rosenzweig, CAE, CPMP, is President and Chief Operating Officer of the Promotion Marketing Association, Inc. that represents the promotion and marketing industry and helps to define its role in the integrated marketing mix. She works with the Board of Directors to develop the strategic plan, determine policy and direction and then oversees implementation on a day-to-day basis. Together with the Board of Directors she develops relevant and robust programs and services to meet the ever-changing needs of a diverse membership. As a spokesperson for PMA, Claire is interviewed frequently by the media on a variety of marketing topics and has been a keynote speaker and panelist at industry events. Her articles appear in a number of trade and business publications.

Claire's background is multi-dimensional and mixes her rich experience in association leadership with the discipline of marketing. After successfully starting her career with the International Tourism Regional Foundation a cooperative marketing program between private sector and government (designed to promote Atlantic Canada, New England and Quebec) she continued her career with the Vermont Hospitality and Travel Association where she took charge of marketing and communications. From Vermont, she worked with the New York State Hospitality & Tourism Association (NYSH&TA). There, she marketed the lodging and attractions industry in coordination with the "I LOVE NY" campaign in order to attract tourism dollars to New York State. As Vice President of the NYSH & TA, she worked as a registered lobbyist in New York and played a role in the successful campaign to repeal the five-percent statewide occupancy tax. Then, Claire was Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer of the Institute of Management Consultants, the leading and largest US-based association representing individual management consultants. There, she helped the board represent the industry and created platforms for the membership to market their services.

Claire is third Vice Chair of Associations and Past Chairman of the Incentive Federation, Inc. She is a member of the Advertising Women of New York's Board of Directors. She is an active member of the New York Society of Association Executives and has participated as a board member and on various committees. She is also an active member of the American Society of Association Executives and has participated in its government affairs and membership committees. She is also a member of the PRSA. Claire participated as a judge for the 2006 Yahoo! Big Idea Chair Award and Distributive Education Clubs of America's marketing competitions. Claire also serves in an advisory capacity on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Promotion Marketing. She earned the Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation from the American Society of Association Executives in 1993 and was re-certified in 2003 and 2006. She earned her Certified Promotion Marketing Professional Designation from the PMA in 2005. In June 2001 Claire received the PMA Beacon Award for her progressive vision and unyielding determination that continues to drive the association to be a world-class organization.
